went to spillway this morning got there bout 5 am..water running good there..wasnt much happening at first so decided to toss a 1/12 ounce kastmaster for some whites.. ended up with 4 to 2 lbs but in the meantime i must have caught 60-70 crappie , none bigger then 5 inches lol. hooked and lost a nice striper(15-20 lbs) there and decided to go to lake at around 730 am... on the lake caught a few largemouth, nothing great a couple 7 inch crappie. a few drum that ran about 7 or 8 lbs each....

now here comes the good part.. was trolling by the marina islands for some walleye and snagged a line one side was snagged so i pulled the other and pulled up a rod and reel.. was a quantum energy pti10 set up.... out of curiosity i decded to price it when i got home thinking maybe it was 20 or 3o dollars.... boy was i wrong...229.00 at cabelas... it couldnt have been in water more then a day, was in perfect condition... yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh me lol

John, sounds like you had one heck of a day and caught the granddaddy at the end. Bet that made your day complete. I've snagged rod and reels, but they had been in the water since the beginning of time. Now I have some out there in lakes that would make a nice catch for someone. Glad you had a good day John..

yeah besides dinking and dunking at a few local ponds for an hour here and there i havent really fished since easter cause of my back

probably wont go out cept to maybe heritage either thursday afternoon or friday morning.. then planning on going sat evening to spillway for walleyes... my back still isnt good enough to really cast as far as i need to for the stripers let alone fight them, that 20 minute fight i had on saturday nearly knocked me out when i got done... now gotta research night fishing walleyes in a river . i havent done that to much on purpose.

im praying for an early frigidly cold winter you think heritage was fun you should try kickpoo ice fishing,....lol
