Has anyone been up to rend lately? I was just wondering what the crappie where doing.

can't catch'em at home

I was up there a couple weeks ago and the crappie were tough. Course it didn't help that it was really windy. Fished some set and the bridge at I57 but couln'd get the crappie for the cats.

Cleaned 23 fish Tuesday but it was slow day. All on jig, 6 to 13', from under water stumps, foundations. Very few from brush piles? Done best along river bed structure. Saw some white/hybrid bass bustin too at times.

Were the whites bustin during the day or was this early mornin/evening

Whites were on top a few times between 9 & 10:30am. Noticed when a boat came close by that it would activate 'em sometimes too.
