Default youngest son

My son has been complaining about his hip for a little while and it was hurting him to run. My wife took him to doctor tuesday afternoon. They sent him for xrays and when they got home, the doctor calls and says that he will see a specialist wed. morning. I get a call at work, he's on his way to St, Johns in Springfield to have emergency surgury on his hips. there is a problem with his legs and how they fit in the hip socket. just got him home ,thursday night. He's sore, but will be OK, maybe. It will take a while to find out if it will heal right. No football and basketball for at least this year. it's been a long couple days for the little guy, but he's getting a lot of attention. It is amazing how fast things can change. Kiss your kids twice tonight. I know I will.

Tell your son we wish him the best. Hope he heals quickly and completely and can back on the field and court after this year.

crappie10....if it makes you feel any better I have seen this condition over the years with a few other kids as I work with them in my day job. Usually after the surgery they are limited in activity (no sports, etc) for a year or so but it does seem to work itself out after that. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Thanks to all of you for the kind words and prayers. He is doing better on the crutches and my wife took him into town to the school for the basketball camp today. He is getting to see his friends and just get out of this house for a while.

It's been 4 weeks and the doctor released him to get off the crutches. we got a black lab about the time he had the surgery, which has helped him make the time pass. they are the best of buddies and we have taken them both fishing several times. evrything seems to be healing just fine.
thanks guys!!
