Default forbes lake

hi, i am going to forbes lake tomorroe 7-2-08 it will be my first time there .how is the crappie?? any area of the lake i have to be more carefull about(like hidden stumps. structures ) thanks

The lake is safe to run in, the only thing there is are lay downs off the bank. The main lake is deep and there is nothing to hit. Try to fish the lay downs or brush piles in the deep water. You can get a map of the lake at the Leaky Bucket that will show where there are brush piles. I have never crappie fished it this late in the year but in the spring it is a good lake to catch crappie in.
