Default Bull nuts

I go to a turtle cook out every year, which is great. Every year they have some different things and this year they had fried bull nuts and they were great. Funny story a few years back I was getting my table a sample platter of turtle, chicken, and what I thought was pulled pork. The owner asked me if I knew what it was and I said pulled pork. She told me it was racoon, and sais she just wanted me to know, I then took it back to my table and told my friends it was pulled pork.

Some of my friends will only eat the chicken, good friends just not adventureous as some, after the gobbled up the racoon we played liars dice and then the owner made her way to our table and I had her tell all of them about it , you should have seen there faces it was priceless.

Enjoy your nuts.

Talking

I know folks that can barbeque coon to where you can not tell the difference between it and pork barbeque.

I thought someone may ask what a coon hunter's toothpick is. I can't really describe it on this board but it is a bone taken from a certain part of a boar coon's anatomy that has one end sharpened and used for a tooth pick. They work really well from what I am told. I have skinned lots of coon and seen many toothpicks on boar coon, they all have one. I never used one but I know folks that do use them.

Redtick I know what your talking about . I've seen them sold at Penny Lane in Springfield Illinois a few years back . I have ate Coon that was cooked in a smoker . It was really good . If you all want to eat something that is out of this world go to Schram City . It's on the east side of Hillsboro . The resturants name is The Canton Inn and order the Lamb Fries . I think they beat all the others ( turkey , Bull , hog ) .

See ya Kevin ><)))*>
