gonna be on vacation for two weeks chasing deer and goofin and thought if I could get any tips I might try them since Forbes is only 30 minutes away, but don't wanna waste my time either.

I saw a guy from Salem when I was launching at Crab Sunday. We struck up a conversation and I asked about Forbes. He said hes fished it for years and this year has been one of the worst. Said he thinks the hybrid stripers..walleyes...and bass have killed the crappie population. He also said they lost alot of walleyes with the heavy rains this year over the dam. Said he got his info from a relative that works for the conservation dept. Thats all I know for what its worth. Crappie Xtreme has been there several times...u may wanna ask him.
