    Default Eaters,Slabs & Mules part I & II

Got the call last night ....Dude wanna hit the lake.
So we hit it and we hit it hard. There's a good 6-7 inches of ice so we doubled our ice in the last 3 days.
Looking like good ice making weather ahead too.
Saw some permanents hauled out today on 4 wheelers even.

So getting back to the fishing.Dude was keeping...I was not.
Here's a few of the mid sizes he kept for his limit.

We caught over 50 crappies today in about 24 fow.
The bite was fast then slow.
It pretty much cycled all day. They'd stack up and not hit then they'd come through and drill you.
We tossed several that would have made a great dinner.

I caught a few very nice respectable slabs...

    Rick did too.

Once Rick had his most of his limit the bite really picked up about noon.
The sun came out and we were smokin!!!

Here's some videos of the day.
There's 2 in there that went close to 15",watch for them.

    Thanks guys.
The lake is connected to the Mississippi river so the water is tanic or stained.
Thus the fish have a nice gold color.

T.H.E. Jig will do some serious catching.
I had to drop to an 80th to get them to even give chase.I had a 64th on and they did not even follow.
As soon as I switched I got some interest.
