Still have a good 10-18" of ice up here on some of the bigger lakes..

those are some great white crappies from northern NY there. WTG
I see some yummy perch in there too, wtg.
I can't wait for the open water, but you're right about the few more weeks of ice. Looking like around April 1st, things will be open some where. Canoe and rowboat drops are going to open 1st then the boat ramps will open.
Hope we can hook up in the early spring for some killer early open water fishing.

Nice catch! What lake do you guys hardwater fish? All the thaws between freezes kinda scared me off of trying it this year. How far north is Northern NY? Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence Counties? Just curious.

Im from Oswego but live in Hannibal..... Oneida,Renshaw bay,Black,and just about every lake up north still has safe ice.. The first pic is from Champain..
