The Strikemaster Lazer! Probably the fastest cutting had auger out there. The Mora does the job as well just a little slower.

Have to agree, as far as quality, durability and speed the Lazer is probably the best hand auger on the market. No matter what type of auger you are looking for you can't go wrong with a StrikeMaster.

Last year I bought the Arctic Express from HT. It's like the Lazer but at almost 1/2 the price. It cuts fast. The only problem I've had with it is the bolt that holds the handle on is bent from breaking through the bottom of my holes. It's the inferior Chinese steel used to make the bolt.

StrikeMaster Lazer is the only way to go. I've been "borrowing" augers from whomever is on the ice, and the Lazer is definately the easiest to drill with and highest quality.
