Ice busters are the clear thing if you use a float for winter fishing.

They won't freeze in holes when fished on open ice. They are inexpensive and can be trimmed to "just float a specific jig weight. They can be trimmed to allow a specific jig weight to ever so slowly drop down thru the water column. They can be rigged static or as a slip.

Ice busters are chemically welded units....the base and the foam are permanently bonded, not like the cheaper stapled copies.

They also come in two dieameters: 1/4 and 3/8. The narrower ones are mainstays for crappies and panfish using tradional ice jig while the larger models will handle other needs where heaier lures are used.

    These are great products.
