Give crappieday a hollar. I'm sure he'll help you in any way he can.

Try at Jannsnetcraft they have the bodies that you solder the hooks to or just buy them here Fishing and Ice fishing jigs for walleye, bass, panfish, crappie, perch, trout, panfish, bluegill, and sunfish

, The jigs are a quality product and the service is top notch. I can't make my own jigs for the price they sell them.

I have a thread in the archives on how to solder. That should put you in the ballpark. You can also check for instructions on my website.

You can take a size 0 willow leaf and drill a small hole at the other end and do what you did. A little paint and you're good to go. I make quite a few of these each year and do darned good with them until, like you found out, teeth seem to like their action too.
