Been bow hunting off and on since I was 13. I am now 60 but still am able to more than handle a 70lb LX. Can't remember the number of deer I have killed with a bow but if I get lucky with a gobbler this year, it will be no. 16 (53 overall).

Yup, I STAY ready. But in the meantime...I stalk the specks at night. :D

So I'm curious AJ... have you taken a turkey w/ your bow yet? I've shot several w/ gun, and the last couple of spring hunts have been looking to take one w/ a bow from my doghouse blind. I bought some of those gobbler guillotine broad heads specifically designed for head shots but haven't managed to lure a tom into range. Kinda been onto that head shot thing ever since I watched a show about a guy that only shoots them in the head. Claim is the kill zone in the body is not much bigger than the head and you will either kill 'em or miss 'em w/ head shot. What's your thoughts?

Default I plunked a couple rounds last week...

and the third arrow blew the nock off my first one...dang it...now I got a few arrows to rework. I hate doin' that 'cause I've been shooting Arrowdynamics and they seem hard to find and the nocks are special. Oh well, time to dig out the parts tackle box and go to work.

I lost my huntin' spot behind the barn this past winter...the people that owned the property sold it and the new owner is a hunter...shoot.
