Default Air gun hunting

I have recently started hunting rats and other pests with a 60 year old Benjamin 312 air rifle I got from my grandpa and actually now prefer the air rifles over a .22 LR. I also pre ordered a high powered Pre Compressed air rifle which I may take out hunting for quail or cottontail rabbits later on this year.

I am wondering how many of you others hunt with air guns (if it is legal in your state of course, it is legal in mine.)

Jeff, Count me in. I have used airguns for more years than I want to count. Still use them a lot for animals and pests up to rabbits, tree rats etc.
If you have not found the yellowforum do so and you can find all sorts of airgun sites and there is several hunting sites that you can find through the
yellowforum.
Still use a lot of powder burners but airguns will let you shoot year round in your back yard. Also I can burn the butt on some of the deer that want to eat my garden.

Default Air Gun Hunting

Were I live everything is protected on the lake, and no firearms allowed. Cotton Mouth's are bad and want to mess with you while fishing.
Shotguns and .22's are loud and will get you a big fine, I was thinking about a pellet gun, they will kill a snake won't they?.

If you are referring to squirrels (fox or Eastern Gray squirrels) and are using an air rifle on them, then you are committing a game violation in Texas.

Means and Methods

Firearms
Game animals and game birds may be hunted with any legal firearm, EXCEPT:

-pellet guns and other air guns are NOT LEGAL.

Just to let you know what the regulations are for Texas.

Well, here in California, it is legal to hunt all non-waterfoul small game with an air rifle. A good air gun can definately take out a snake no problem btw.
