Nice buck Patrick. I don't know how close you are to the river, but I know when I lived up in Tunica county I went over the levee and rode down a ways and saw 7 or 8 huge bucks run across in front of me, so I know they have some big one up there.. My biggest to date was an 8 pt with an "ok" rack, and weighed in at 190#
Here's a pic of him at the taxidermist.

All dang fine looking deer fellas!! I've had a few I'd have loved to have mounted over the years.. Not all because of size, but diffrent reason like my first bow kill.. Just never seemed to be able to afford it at the right times.. Here's a few pics of a couple I did get on the wall..

Thanks, Patrick. The hunt was awesome! I had been after that sucker all season, it was Dec. 23 when I finally got the shot. I had gotten off work at 4pm and when I got home I only had about 30 minutes of daylight. I ran out to the "spot" and sat ON THE GROUND with my 45 cal. CVA. 5 minutes later I shot him at 21 steps! Can you imagine seeing a rack that size at 21 steps?? I am surprised I hit him, I was shaking so bad that I don't even know how I eared the hammer back!

Here are a couple....from Chatham County. I am pretty picky about what kind of buck I shoot.

All of them are great bucks! For me, it is more about the circumstances involved than the size of the deer. But....big definately helps!!
