Man Poppop you are the man! Those are some fine bucks you have taken. My hat's off to you. Are all of those bucks from NC? I have never seen anything as wide as those up here, but maybe a couple in Granville. I also like the way you have taught your grandchildren to hunt. Give my congratulations to both of them. My best deer hunting memory is when my son killed his first deer, a spike, in 2000. He was eleven at the time. I watched the whole thing from my climbing stand sitting next to his ladder stand. Great post, and great pix!

Thanks Chug...they are all Chatham County bucks...except the largest one and he is from Orange County. I know what you mean by the memories....the ones with my grandchildren means so much.

Sorry luvjign.....I hardly ever get off the South Carolina board and just saw this post. That deer came off a man's small 50 acrea wooded farm in southern Ohio. For a few years we used to go up and hunt with a friend one week each year and he had permission of a few landowners here and there near his home for the three of us to hunt. I think each year atleast one of us would kill a deer with our bow but that was the largest we got. Allen shot the deer within 20 yards and that deer only ran 25 yards and fell dead. He had to sit down to "gather himself" before he started out of the tree with his climber. When he and my buddy came into camp (I had already tagged out on a 9 pointer so I was playing cabin boy) you could say he was excited.:D

Nice pictures of some great deer AND good looking grandkids Poppop. And I see they went thru the same rituals my two kids (boy and girl) went thru also.:D And if I'm fortunate enough to have grandkids when they reach that age I hope they go thru the same thing! Nothing wrong with that, nothing at all! Good job!!
