Cant wait for Wednesday mornin. First day of rifle season in my hometown county back in SC. And this Saturday is opening day of dove back home to. Im driving home teusday afternoon when i get off, hope i put some bone on the ground wednesday mornin! The fingers itchin real bad, blood is the only cure!

I've heard that's the state to go for early hunting and possiably get a buck in velvet. Here we don't even get to archery hunt till Oct.1 and muzzleloading is almost 3 weeks later. Our gun season is up in Nov. Sure awful hot to be hunting Deer is'nt it?

yeah its a lil hot but.....isnt it the same as sitting in the boat tryin to catch a fish? you still gotta be out in the heat, except instead of bringin home a limit of bream or crappie, i will be bringin home one of those nice vevlet bucks you mentioned. i hunt in the mornin till about 9 and then get back in the stand at around 6pm, i dont sit all day like alot of folks do. The only time i will sit all day is during the rut. I have killed my biggets deer the first week of the season, i guess the pressure is off of em, and they dont mind comin to the corn pile. And yes, i hunt over a corn pile, i know some of yall prob think its cheatin but its legal and the deer cant turn down that GOLD! Plus all the corn has been cut round the house and aint nuthin left but soybeans and they are everywhere, will be hard to kill deer in the beans cause they lay up in em all day and ya cant see em. so i gotta do sumthin to bring em out.
