I'm definately fired up and almost ready to go. I still have a couple camo burlap blinds to build. Also have my shotgun at the dippers. Should be back any day now.

It has been a long winter. We are just now getting the last of the snow melted off here, and temps are rising. Hope we don't get any more.

We still have alot of ice and i'm not done icefishing yet!

    Thumbs up

Spring season opens April 10 in Arkansas. Can't wait. Haven't been out scouting yet. Will try to get out and listen some the next couple of weekends. I love it!!!!! Try to combine turkey hunting in Arkansas with a little crappie fishing on Nimrod Lake and Lake Ouachita. Nothing better that gobbles and feathers in the morning followed by paper lips and scales in the afternoon.

Going to west Oklahoma to chase Rios for a couple of days. Their season opens April 6. Looking at going to Missouri but they raised their out of state license to $190. Whew. When I first went to Missouri for a sprng turkey hunt, it cost $75 for 2 birds.

Good Luck and safe hunting to everyone. Just hearing a turkey gobble and seeing him is most of the fun. Able to kill one just adds to the enjoyment.

I saw over a hundred birds in a corn field just north of Louisville Kentucky on interstate 65. I also saw 4 other smaller flocks in the trip down to Bass Pro Shops in Clarksville Indiana. I am really getting the fevor!!!!

Same here. Opens the last week of April. Hunting private land, so am going to take the second season and buy license over the counter. Am going to try again this year to take one w/ bow. Need to set up the blind next week.

    Had a good mornin .
Started out with a long walk to the roost area i went to .left truck @ 5.30am got to the area @ 6.30am.At 6.45 tyhe gobblin started and dint stop till 7.30.
Any how i got set up at my tree with in 150 yds is all i could close the distance.Heard what was about 3 toms going off. Then after the toms went off .the hens got between me and the toms headin towrds the toms .This all happened with in 15 minutes of the gobble.
Just wish i had put my B Mobile out prior to sittin down between me and the toms in the roost. If i had maybe i wouda had a chance .cuttin on the box ,maybe wouda brought them in to me .

Gonna give it a nother try tomorrow .I wasnt picked off that i know of .the hens didnt put .just mosied on over to the toms.So maybe it will work fer tomorrow.
