I posted this on another site but didn't get any takers.
I have a Winchester 190 22 semi-automatic that currently has a red dot scope
my question is can a laser sight be mounted on it and is it a difficult process to do so. Would a laser sight be better than the red dot scope.

I dont know about your state but in NC if you have a laser sight on your gun you could be charged with hunting with the aid if an artificial light, this could get you gun confiscated and a large fine ticket. I would suggest checking your local game laws and decide, i would think the red dot would do as good as a laser.

I believe that you will be better served with the RED DOT. My experience with the lazer is visibility in daylight conditions.
lasers are not the greatest in daylight. after about 20-25 yards the are hard to pick up in the open and I can only guess that in the woods would be a bit harder. I have a 17 hmr that i use a red dot on and my son and i were shooting crickets with it at about 40 yards
wishing I was fishing!

Been out for a few days but thank you for the input sounds like the laser is out and the dot is still in.

You might consider a varible powered scope?!?![]()
I saw several scopes with lighted reticle in Wally world two looked interesting a 3X9X50 and a 3X9x40 also another one smaller all would do what you want. Later Bobby
