You are smart getting out early this year, not many people bow-hunt the rut cuz rifle season, but the reward of killing one, especially a nice one like yours is great w/ a bow. Unfortunately Im bowless for the first time in a while due to someones sticky fingers. They are rutting here in NEKY as we speak. I bet he will score in the 130 range Brad. I set up another camera today. I hope to show yall a pic of the one Im after, been after in for a LONG time. I would say how big he is but I am not gonna jynx myself right before opening weekend. Plus Id be gettin called a bs'er w/out pics...:D Congrats again man, that will be a cool mount. What county did ya get him in. My ex-woman from Butler county's uncle has a 227inch B&C nontyp from right around there the BG area. Some huge ones down there.

ekyslabber, I took him in Edmonson County. Good luck this weekend, doesn't look like it's going to be the best weather for deer hunting, but you can't kill one sitting at the house. I plan on taking my 15 year old son out.

Yeah, mid 60's isn't the best, but as long as does are coming in heat the boys will be moving around some. Plus rain monday-wed. Good luck to your son, ive seen where youve showed him how to catch fish well, no ya gotta zero him in on those big deer.
