we carry all our deer to a processor. we tell him, half ground beef and half cube steak. we use the ground beef in chili , spaghetti , meatloaf. just about anything you use hamburger for. if you dont tell anyone they wont know the difference. take the cube steak when you thaw it out and soak it in water for a few hours. drain the blood water off and refill the bowl a few times. when it gets to where you get almost no blood out of it. batter it and fry it up. if you do it right you cant tell the difference in it and cube steak from the store. between 3 and 4 deer a year and lots of crappie we about the only meet we buy is chicken and a few ribs for the 4th of july. it really saves on the grocery bill.

My buddies cousin called me today...He shot a deer with bow & arrow today..He is going to give me the deer..He is going to drop the deer off at the deer processor...He said that it is a pretty good size buck....Around 200lbs or so...I probably will have the processor get all the steaks he can out of it..Plus some hamburger and deer jerky...
May be getting another deer this coming weekend from a guy on crappie.com...
