    Default Sad day...

Deer season closed yesterday...it is not near as much fun to clean ten rifles, as it was to sight them in and hunt..Am determined to put all my gear up in an organized manner this year..Tomorrow I will go to woods, and pull in all stands, ect.....

The Deer can get a break from the pressure for a while. My work is just getting started on family land that has been hunted very little in the last 20 yrs.We have to make a road and find good stand locations.I have 2 months to do as much as we can for next deer season, before we leave for Colorado for some good summer fishing.

I can only shoot 1 at a time and I always clean mine after each time they are shot and used that day. So how do you hunt with 10 guns?

We got 2 weeks left but I have about gave it up this year anyway. Looking forward to turkey session now and a hog hunt in early March. It never really ends for me because of summer plots and looks at maps all summer to find a few new place on public land.

Scrat, firearms have always been a big part of my life. I have a fairly extensive collection...I was lucky to hunt all but 6 days the entire season...different stands dictate what rifle I use....I give each an extensive cleaning before season after sight in...then fire one fouling shot . Hunt as much as needed...then extensive cleaning after season...I do wipe the exterior as needed.
