Default Her first EVER hunt ....

So the mini me has wanted to go hunt deer with me a while , for about at least one year and it started last year when she was 4 . Mom is very protective beyond imagination and it was going to be tough I could see to introduce the lil one to hunting . I told her for sure we would go this year and we could sit together and she could hunt with me . Well she was pretty stoked up and right at the last minute she got nervous and said she wanted to sit in moms lap . I was like oh no , its a one person blind and I aint sure if we can all sit together in it and or much less me shoot with 3 people in it at a time .
So here we go , I tell mom this is how its going to go down and mapped out the how we were going to do it .I drop them at the blind and load up the stuff in it along with them and I go toss out corn and go park the truck . I will get in and drag a fold up chair in behind me and we will "try" to hunt ....
To be honest it couldn't have been more perfect yawl , first deer in was a buck at 5 minutes after we sat down at 4 pm ! We got there right when I knew they would be coming in and knew we had to do a short hunt or someone would run out of patience . So here we sit all whispering and bumping the blind and making the deer nervous . I only have a doe tag left and we are in the extended doe season . Then about 4:30 here comes deer from EVERYWHERE ! Every size and running in from the right the left and from straight ahead . Well to be sure I have my predator program going on and pick one out of the herd when there was 14 in front of us and more coming in . I told em to cover their ears as its about to be done and with so many there they lost what deer I was going to take in the crowd . The big doe went down like a rock on the hit and just like that it was done .
Now comes the hilarious part , the mini me says dad SHOOT another one ....and of course some didn't run off and just stood around looking bewildered . I explained we don't do that and we are only allowed that one I just got ! And besides we don't just kill deer when we go , we only harvest the right deer and we already got the right deer . A doe with no babies and NO she isn't a mommy deer .
So she is so terribly excited and says can we go find it now ? I said sure and we go over to where it dropped and she starts dancing around it like an indian and saying WOW look at the blood . Now can we take it home and make meatballs ?
I explained we are donating this one to our family and we already have plenty of deer in our freezer for meatballs . Anyway it was terribly fun one hour hunt and went perfect in every way .We never found a camo dress but we did wear our leopard print cap and mom and her helped me load it and we went over to my buds place across the river and he donated another large doe to us to take to others in need of venison as well .
included are some pretty good photos and I hope yawl enjoy the read and photos at least half as much as we did

Wow! Great post. That beautiful smile was worth it all. Made me think of when my baby Daughter killed her first deer several years ago and the Grand Children killing there first deer also. Words can't express how you will feel when she gets old enough to kill her first deer.
Be safe and good luck fishing
