Yeah, I agree with the opinions on broad head choice. I'm still shooting Spitfires-got started when still using compounds due to the fact they shot exactly the same as my practice points, and now that I'm shooting a crossbow I still use them. Never had any problems with them-just wish I could still comfortably shoot a compound, but at least the crossbow keeps me in the game. IL hunt/fish, sounds like you had a great stand location-caught them as they were browsing their way from a bedding/loafing area to the crop fields.
