Thread: Lake Blackshear and Ga.Slab Masters

Folks as everyone knows we will be having a tournament Sat. May 9,2009 at the Veterans State Park close to Cordele Ga. right off I-75, but I want to open this up to everybody on our board regardlous of whether you want to fish the tournament or not. I would like to invite everyone to come and stay with us at the Lake Blackshear Resort at a unheard price of $65.00 per night for Friday and Sat. For those that know about it and for those that don't, this place absolutely the best. You can play golf,fish for fun,swim in indoor or outdoor pools come to the tournament weigh in on Sat or whatever. We will also be having a barbeque dinner to be catered by Arrowhead Bait and Tackle at the big park pavillion Friday afternoon starting at 6:00 or 6:30 til ? The price on the barbeque dinners will be very reasonable and will be very good. If anyone wants to come partake in some or all, that would be great. If you are wanting to stay at the resort please tell them you are coming with Ga.Slab Masters when making reservations. Hope to see as many as can make it. You will also get to meet some of the best crappie fisherman we have in this State as well and see how our tournaments are ran. Folks once again this a heck of an oppurtunity to get away a little bit for a resonable price and also show your Momma appreciation on Mothers Day, too. I got my Mom a room there. Tony
If you live in Mid Ga. and your're fishing with us, they've got it down where you might as well stay too, time + gas + hassle equals a lot more than $65.00 for a room on the water..

People, this tournament is definhjately going to be a big event especially fofr the local economy. This resort ios the top of the line and Tony was able to acquire a very special rate. Lets show these people that the crappie fishing crowd knows how to have fun and enjoy it at the same time.


You do NOT have to fish the tournament to enjoy these room rates or the BBQ. Just tell the park people you are here with the Ga Slabmasters.

same here...plus they wouldn't let me in that swanky place..

To clear up any confusion Mothers Day is on Sunday, not the day of the tournament.
