    Default Allatoona today/tomorrow...

I've done OK up on Lanier, shooting docks, but this afternoon will find me in Cartersville until about 5pm, so....

If you have a pointer (or three) on where they are on the 'Toona and how to get to them, I'd sure appreciate it. I'm familiar with Kellogg and Little River area, but am plenty willing to try a new area.

I've not had much (i.e. ANY) success on Allatoona, which frustrates me to no end, as I can typically find them on Lanier any given day.

Tips, hints, outright lies, all are welcome!

Thers are some docks on toona that hold fish in the areas that you mentioned as well as those just off the river above and below victoria. This time of yr. I would try any structure that I could find in less than 25 ft of water. there is a lot of structure in there because I have put a lot in and there are a lot of pvc structure that the corps. has put in you can look online at their site and print out a map with the cordinates. the maps in my h/b has them as most gps units do. let me know how you do maybe we can get up a trip this summer.

    Thanks for the reply, Thankfull...

I've heard about those fishtraps, but don't have a GPS to locate them with...

Right now, I'm thinking of putting in up at Cooper's Branch and heading up Stamp Creek.

Never fished that area of the lake before, but the maps shows a lot of downed trees all around the WMA shoreline.

I may even pick up some minnows, as jigs sure haven't worked for me on this lake...

I can't remember the last time I used minnows on the toona they love 1/32 oz. jigs, we are going to have to go later this year as soon as the tournaments are over and I get my garden set.

Well, I chickened out and went to Lanier instead. Fished Sixes creek from about 5pm until I got blown off. Caught only 5, but they were NICE!!! (About 2lbs apiece)

I'm not a tournament fisherman, but I sure wished I was last night!

However, for a man who's out to _harvest_, last night didn't do much for filling my freezer.

Still looking for a limit day in Georgia....
