    Default Slabs are shallow

Fished the south end of the "hooch" near Columbus late this afternoon, caught a variety and one around 3 lbs. Also snagged a "shovel" head cat. This one crappie was close to 16 inches, and they hit on a green hair jig.

dang man I thought the CIA or the jihadist had you as long as it has been since you have posted..Glad to see you are still catching them...You know that favorite dock of yours on a certain lake?.. pulled 3 two pounders from under it..Went back the next day and only smaller ones and lots of spots. The new owners are not as nice>> I saw PK at my peanut stand and he told me yall were fishing.. Saw your brothers Ben and John today...Stop by one day when ya see my truck. I know you come out this way sometime..

you still fishing in the same boat?..that is a good crappie boat

    Default More shovelheads

Thanks for all the adjulations (sp), I'm still "kicking" Smitty, how 'bout this 30 lb ShovelHead Catfish I caught today, along with the various size crappie. And, hey, that's a private honey hole you are working ...

    Default Still Fishing

His name is Steve Booth, someone needs to "transplant" another light on the end of the floating boat house. That spot has produced more crappie than anyone could count, it's said the former owner, prior to the former owner use to feed the fish there, guess Steve Booth would be the current owner. Those big slabs are still in Harding, just tough to track down, they aren't growing big by being caught, now are they? And, hey, I've seen you at the end of Summerville Road, who's providing the 02 to you, you should request a portable shoulder bag with a pulse regulator, would beat that cart and large cylinder, just a thought and a little FYI. Caught these attached in East Point, Florida recently. Got a new place to call my honey hole.
