Well another chapter has fallen with my luck again last nite. When you have 35-45 mph wind on the lake, and the boat is facing the wrong direction, guess what might happen. Yep astro filled with water again and almost sunk. Then as I was running out there to try and do something I step down wrong and snap my left ankle. Laying on the dock in pain, my wife yells out are you ok. I couldnt even get up to do anything for a few minutes, Finally I sucked up the pain and started calling people. Finally after what seem to be a life time of fustrations, astro arrives with a sump pump and in a few minutes she was back on top again. Finally went to the doctor this morning, has a severe spaing in my left ankle, wearing a brace and is on crutches. But I will be there next wednesday evening:D.
I'm glad it's not broke...but sometimes broken bones heal faster than sprains do.
To heck with work, lets go fishing.
Thanks wes, how you feeling by the way my man!!! Hope you and dawson make it over next week. There isnt much to do but check this site from time to time and TV is getting old already.
Dang it man! Glad your ok. May want to look into an automatic bilge pump? Look forward to seeing ya'll at Harding. At least you can still catch fish siting down!!!
your right Dan, if I have too will throw a line on my crutch and catch one or hit them in the head and net one lol. When are you coming over Dan and if you can remember bring the folding table, my wife is needing it soon for a yard sale. cya soon my friend
You know Rick, I think Meredith is sinking Astro's boat. She laughed too hard the last time it sank. There's a ghost in that boat. I could just see you laying on that dock......your neighbor probably thought you was just having a good day off and was signaling for another cold one. Glad you're doing OK. We will be there to help you set up Wed night.
Hey Rick, I will also be there early Wednesday. I'll be right next to ya on site # 7. I will be glad to help you out my friend.
trust me, no sleet, no snow, no rain or ex-wife will keep ma away from this slabfest, or my partners wife in her sabotage of our boat, wonder if she has scuber equipment laying low for us.
dang...get better soon, buddy!
yep an auto bilge is what he needs.. sorry to read about your ankle but it will be healed by weds.. I'll ride over by boat weds night after I get finished with work..those trees you and Todd like in that spot were full of fish last week and I know they will be next week after all the high temps
