I fished fishing creek from daylight till 11:30 and only boated two. Moved to soap screek after lunch and ended up with 29. Had some help from some guys on the lake with the spot or it would have probably been a rough day. Had two 2lb+ fish with the biggest going 2.4lbs. Best colors for me was wildcat, black/chat and a homemade grey/blue chenile jig.
Finally got to meet DI yesterday. Him and Joe were giving lessons all afternoon on how to catch them hill fish.
Here's a pic of the largest two.

Great to meet you YKK, that was one of those days we wish we could have every weekend. We went today and didnt catch but 10 small fish. Thats Soap creek for you, when they hug the bottom, tightlining is the only way to get them.
Nice looking fish there.
I'll be headed to Oconee next Saturday for the day. You gonna be on the water?
I took a couple of friends out to Fishing creek today and only ended up with 15. John caught his biggest to date at 2lb 9oz. In the ten years he's been fishing with me he's only caught one 2lber and today he caught 2. I think the smile says it all.
To heck with work, lets go fishing.
YKK....Good to see you on the water yesterday. I was hoping Joe would find some good fish in Fishing Creek early and we would have come joined ya'll. I guess that's why it's good to have friends, especially when it comes to fishing. I wonder what we all did before cell phones??? Nice fish in the pic!!
good looking fish ykk.
