I finally got out on the water. I haven't been fishing in so long I was having dt's. Didn't get out there until around 2:30 or so and left about an hour later. Didn't stay long because the boat was rocking a bit too much for me. The area I was fishing was loaded with fish. I anchored down and put out 2 tight line rigs and about 15 min later I cought a good size slab that I say went about 1.25lbs. Well I ended up with 4 keepers. If the water was a bit smoother I would have cought alot more. The ones I cought bit very finicky. To sum it up I say the crappie are biting great. I was fishing in 34 foot water and fished tight line at about 25 feet. Fished the river channel north of Cedar creek.
Glad to see you got out there and got ya some,I'm planing an assault plan on em for tomorrow.

I got there about 1:30 and fished the river channel until dark. Kept 15 good keepers the biggest one going 1.5 lbs. The fish are definetly stacked up in the channel from 18-25 feet. Channel where I was at was 30-42. Had a pretty good afternoon. Used jigs with the best color being "gold dust." Ready for another good day to go!!!
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.:D
