Thread: List of People Attending and Items needed at Blackshear Slabfest

The following is a tentative list of the people that are planning on coming to the Lake Blackshear Slabfest. Also here are the things that I think we will need for the SLabfest so please let me know what you can bring and I will put you down for it.

I sure would appreciate it if someone out there would bring a big grill because we need it for cooking the steaks. The person that was gonna do that had something to come up sudden like and can't be here.

Also if ya'll want to cook rib eye steaks on that Friday night I can get them at a biog discount so let me know. This is a team effort so ya'll let me know of anything else we need. GOD bless you all.

I will be glad to bring some napkins, paper plates, and cups just let me know how much I need to get. As far as the steak cooking, I will be staying at the Comfort inn(or where ever it was yall told me to stay in cordele) so I would be intrested in doing it if several of yall are going to cook some up. Where will most people be staying?

I'l do drinks, sweet tea,coke,mountain dew,etc cups and ice.Two Steaks for us on Fri. night. Not sure if he can due to work but ,Shine Runner and Crew.

i made reservation for friday and sat . can`t make it earlier than that due to wifes work . she don`t have any vacation left .will have fish cooker oil corn meal hushpuppy mix and gass bottles. 25 cup coffee pot

Rusty, I will be staying at the park (arriving Thurs) with my girlfriend and am bring one other couple (they don't fish). I can bring a five gallon bucket of the peanut oil and a sack of taters. If you are taking orders for steak then it would be four. Let me know how much $ or if you need anything else. Can't wait.

Wants my steak medium rare, baked potatoe cook but not over cooked, Im sure astro will want one too. but not sure how he wants it cook, will have my barrel grill with me, will be happy to bring bread for some good old fashion garlic bread, will be happy to bring what is needed for saturdays fish fry..Wish it was this weekend now..yahoooooooooooooooooooooooeeeeeeeeeeee

looks like work will keep me from camping this time. Hope to at least get down there and visit one evening and get there some time Saturday to fish a little and help out with the fish cleaning/cooking or what ever needs done. Still time for things to change.

I'll bring the trophies. my fishcooker and propane. Plus anything produce that is needed. maters, taters, onions etc..just tell me what you want.. I should get there weds. I have ask for the time off work. Maybe they will let me have it. If not oh well. Good job while it lasted. Gotta keep me priorities in order.. Anyone that knows me knows that..:D I may never be rich but I'll always have time to LIVE life. That is while I am breathing.

Anyone got room for me on their campsite? I was going to stay at a hotel, but would rather go the less expensive route. My partner for this will be Duke (my dog). Hope no one objects to that. He is very well behaved. Takes a little bit to warm up to strangers, but aren't we all like that?
If no one has room for me then I will get a hotel room. The only one in Cordele that takes pets is the Days Inn.
I will post later what I will be bringing. I have a chuckwagon (cowboy bean) recipe that is killer. It would really go good with fish.
Rusty...I am in for a steak. I will just need one. Duke likes steak but if I let him eat one his farts will run me out of the tent. They are so bad it may even clear out the campground and the State would have to declare it a hazardous area.
