    Default Where and When/slabfest

Where and when will the Ga boys have another slabfest? Think I might try to come down and fish with you boys if yall well let an ole young wipper snapper from Ms/Fl join ya. Also how much is an OOS license for Ga? I will only need a 3day or so

Hello duckiller. Our next Slabfest is gonna be at Lake Blackshear in Cordele Georgia. It is scheduled for Feb. 28th. The camp grounds are really nice but if ya gonna stay in a motel I would suggest the Comfort Inn thats in Cordele. I am not sure about liscence but will get back with you on that. You come on and I am sure one of us will be glad to put you on some of those Slabs.

Thanks Ragfly depending on finances I will try to be there for a day or 2. Im going to New Orleans the first of Feb all week for a National Turfgrass/golf Course conf. so if I get caught up on school from that and dont spend to much $$$ I will be there.

Hey Smitty, Did your licenses go up in price for 2009? I think I only paid $6.00 for a non resident 5 day license at Blackshear's slabfest. Florida's was $30.00 for a 7 day license.

My Ms license(resident there) cost me about $50 but thats a sportsman so it includes all hunting and fishing. My Fl license(out of state) cost me $50, and my Ala(out of state) cost me 50. I need to find a way to become a resident in these other 2 states. Im going to fish some local lakes around here for the next couple weeks so I can save some money for Blackshear, as Im going to make it rain or shine windy or calm. Cant wait. Would yall go ahead and get a room ahead of time(sam around Feb 15th) or could I wait till I get there?

As I have said before I think the Comfort Inn in Cordele is the best. I don't think there is a need to get room ahead of time but you can never tell. Also as Smitty said we gonna have a night stalk Thursday night for those that wanna join us. We gonna have alot of fun.
