    Default West Point?

I heard they got a bunch of rain over there the last couple of weeks and some flooding? I was wondering what the water up the river around Ga. Access looked like? I know a number of you guys fish it on a regular basis. I have done really good up the river when the water temps get in the low to mid 40's, which they may be headed for this weekend. I can't say that for many lakes. Thanks for any help.

The water was not stained to bad last Friday but the main channel was full of trash. We did real well and caught some big fish in the mouths of coves. The water temperature was 54 to 58 degrees. Some of the fish were full of eggs. I am thinking about going back Saturday.

It was pretty muddy upriver from Snake Creek this past weekend. Caught a few small ones Saturday back in some deep holes in creeks that were alot cleaner.

    Dustin,
Did you know Chris and Becky Duncan before he died?? He has a son around 21-23 .I think it is jeremiah Duncan. Also two young sons Ethan and Lee Duncan and a young daughter They lived in carrolton.. If you do great If not could you ask around at the little feed supply/gas station in town.. He was friends with them. I am trying to get in touch with them to let them know about the memorial Slabfest at westpoint in march in Chris's honor. Thanks. I will go up there soon if I can't find a number..
Please read the obit below and see if you can help me locate his family. His brother had his family move I think.

I went out Monday and did fiarly well untill I moved down closer to 219 bridge. The water was around 52 and alot of the stain was gone off the water. I found some great spots almost under the bridge. It was in about 25 ft of water. I caught 16 fish in the last hour of daylight all were very nice size and full of eggs. Wish I would have found that spot sooner! Try any color jigas long as it has some green in it or chart. Hopfully I get to go back out this evening and I'll keep you posted.

Well I said I'd give another one for this evening. I caught my limit in about 2 hours fishing the flat right around 219 bridge on the left bank just under the bridge.47 was the tem. So its getting cold and probably will drop into the low 40 by the weekend. They were biting really well for such a temp change. Same color green and chart. but they wouldn't take other colors that well. Good luck to any of you that are going to brave the cold this weekend!

Thanks Mudbug.......I know exactly where you are talking about. There must be plenty of water in the river, because that area had some exposed dry humps last year??? I usually fish the couple of coves and the main channel in that area. If I can make myself go this weekend, I'll let you know how I do. Thanks again and keep the reports coming.
