Thread: bait store at smoak bridge

this might be old news but it is new to me.there is a new freds bait and tackle opened on 300 south of the bridge.dont know how reliable they are or how well stocked they stay.just a fyi.i think it is a little past rubos.also dont know if in business noticed it late saturday evening going to moultrie.

Yes, that store is open for business. I have not done business with them yet but if they are like the one in Albany then they are a reliable business. I plan on going out there in the next day or so and find out some things about them. As soon as I get the info I will be sure and post it.

Thats a really nice bait store. He has alot of stuff in that store and good bait. I was a little dissipointed Saturday though. I went to the lake at daylight Saturday and about 12:00 i run out of bait. I went to rubo's and they were out so i rode down to that bait shop and dang if he wasn't open. By the way, If you got time you need to be fishing, man are they biting. I had ten fish over 2 pds. I didn't want to leave.

i bought bait ther one time it is nice place . not good to be closed but maby it was a emergengy .

I was tightlining at Smoak Bridge on Sat. They were biting at daybreak but slowed down around 9 AM. Brought home 12 that were 10 inches or better. Caught one slab (full of eggs) on a minnow. She just inhaled it and then didn't move. I was pulling up to check my minnow and she was on. Measure and weighed when I got home, 15 1/2 inches, 2.6 pounds. The rest were all males.

Uhhhhh , it looks like I'm fixin to have to adjust my appointments for a day or two here shortly.

I'll be sure and take pictures today when I clean them. I have one pic I took with my cell phone of 4 that were between 2.5 pds and 2.9 pds, but i done forgot how to put them on here. Trust me though, there are plenty fish in blackshear over two pds you just gotta find um.Jarhead, Did you see me? I was in a grumman with a black 40 fishing around a marker a threw out.
