Well folks....I just received word today that I will be leaving Georgia in a week heading for San Antonio, TX. My Air Force career is back on track and crappie nationwide better beware. I was hoping to make one last slabfest, but I got an earlier date to start Air Force nursing school. Just wanted to tell all of you, especially those I have had the chance to meet that I've enjoyed the fishing and the fish fries. You're good people and I'll miss the tournaments. If its alright with ya'll, I'd like to post any crappie reports from Texas over here on the Georgia board to keep ya'll posted on my fishing efforts. Maybe one day when I retire from the service, I'll come back to one of these GA lakes and take one of you old farts fishing.....wheel chairs and all....:D .....I should be fishing out of something larger than a canoe by then!
Good luck in Texas, Though I have recently joined I have been reading your posr from the canoe for a while. Best wishes on your carreer change.
Kyle, it is in a way very sad to hear this news. You are definately what our military needs today. Outstanding dedicated young men like you are few and far between. Yopu have touched alot of peoples lives here on the Georgia Crappie.com board, one of them being me. You maybe moving away but your spirit will always be herer my man. I can't say much more before I shed more tears. I do consider you a very close friend and fellow Christian. I have learned alot from you and if I had any kids I would pray that they would grow up and be just like you. GOD bless you my friend.
Alright crappster, did 21 years with em with no regrets, there's some good fishin in Texas for sure, didn't get to do much while I was there(bootcamp), but my TI went everyday after he fed us boneheads lunch.

I am sure you will find some place to fish and put a GA whoop'n on 'em. Look forward to reading your posts and please do check in to let us know how its going. You got my number. Holler when you can. Enjoyed fishing with you and hope you will get a minute on a holiday or something and we'll meet up some where. Maybe hook up in the middle somewhere, who knows we could have a SlabFest in Mississippi or Louisiana???????
