A new job opportunity has been given to me and it's exactly what I would love to do. But one of the biggest problems for me is that I would have to move out of state. The other problem is that it would only be a temporary job for now with possibilities of it becoming permanent.
A part of me wants to turn the offer down because I don't want to leave my family and friends. And that even means my Crappie.com family too. But I also see this as a new adventure with the world at my feet. I have some time to make a decision, but not long. I've been praying on this for about two weeks and now I'm asking for your prayers as well. Please pray with me that I make not only the right decision, but the best decision.
Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy -- Eskimo legend
May God lead you to the path that makes you happy. Even if you move you can still keep in touch with us. Good Luck in what ever you do....Dennis
I agree with Dennis, Moving for a job is a major undertaking but not knowing if it is permanent would be a big problem for me. I know GOD will lead you in the right direction either way. Just have faith and I know you will make the right decision. Please let us know whyat you decide because you know we all love you.
Girlsfish.
I don't know what it is about life that seems to require a transfer to really move up in a company.
My wife (with an engineering degree from Auburn) was passed over for promotions here in Atlanta with Northwest Airlines many times. (it was the "good ole war buddy from vietnam" syndrome being played on her).
She took a transfer up to the home office in Minneapolis for more pay and a shot at a promotion. It meant we took turns flying back and forth on the weekends...a real pain too even though she had the seniority and we got bumped up to the head of the non-rev waiting list. Cant tell you how many times we even got bumped into first class.
She blew those yankees away with efficiency and people skills and after 2 years got transferred back here to Atlanta with higher pay and boss over the ones who rejected her in the first place.
She stayed the "queen bee" until she retired after 27 years with them.
The point of that diatribe is that sometimes it is necessary to take a step backwards to get two steps forward. And then again, it sounds superstitious, but sometimes a town just "goes sour" on us.
Good luck to you and make lots of $$$$$. Then come back in new car (gotta have that) and tell all those who weren't for you here to go spawn themselves.
Stay happy
Douglas
The opportunity to be given a chance to “Do what I love to do". That is not a job, it is a dream come true. So many of us work only to earn the money to do the things we love to do, but to be given the opportunity to work at what you love to do, what an adventure. I am 47 years old and for 40 years I always played it safe working in a job I ABSOLUTELY HATED, but it was a SAFE State of Georgia job with good benefits. I hated the job so bad that I told my wife I did not think I would live another year and I was looking forward to the end if I had to stay in that State job. She told me to just quit. Think about it, I had 16 years in with the State of Georgia and I gave it all up on a Sales Position with no insurance, benefits, vacation or sick time. Oh yeah and it was commission only, with no base pay. My first year I made 15k more than my Safe State job. The next year I started as a sales rep for the pharmaceutical industry. After just seven years, I am making more than triple what I made working for the State after 16 years of service. I have better benefits than I would have ever had working for the State and I LOVE what I do now. If the money is tolerable, you get to do what YOU LOVE, and there is a chance it can become permanent if you do a good job, I say go for it. You can visit us on-line everyday. Life is short and I kick myself in the behind EVERYDAY for not leaving the State 16 years earlier. I have many regrets in my life, but sometimes things happen for a reason. Don't live a SAFE life, because when you grow older safety may be remembered as regrets and lost opportunities.
If there's water there I say go, if it's not I say no go, you can plug computer up anywhere.

Crappie.com is everywhere!! The faces may change but we all smell like bait!!
LOL!!! Do what is best for your future, there's plenty of time to for "us" where ever you are!! Weigh it all out. What you may accomplish for your future vs what you are leaving that you Can't get back..things like a house/property current job etc. If you don't have things like that holding you down GO for it!!!! Best of luck!
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.
Young lady sometimes we have to take one step at a time. Your faith, friends and family will always be there for you. But sometimes we are put in situations that we must face by our self. Too venture into a new opportunity can be rewarding at times but also can be relustant too. Explore every aspect of this job and balance the good versues the bad. Then make your decision and drive forward. You will always be welcome and appreciated here. Take care and good luck. Remember the almighty watches over all of us.

You didn't say where you were going --but I bet there is a Crappie.com family close by. Good Luck!
You can't finish what you don't start
I would just like to say if its what you want you should give it a try. Dont spend the rest of your life thinking WHAT IF? If you try it and make it , it will be great. If not, at least you tried and no one can ever take that away. Good luck.
