Default how far will lanier drop now?

Heard this morning that a appeals court decided that georgia has O rights to the water in lake lanier since it is a federal lake[corps lake]. I guess that they can now run the water out at will.

I know I aint up on it all that well, but from what I have read Lanier is still supplying water to Altanta and will continue? The few topics I read says that Atlanta has to stop growing since there wont be enough water to substain everyone's needs especially at the rate of growth in the city. Well, being from a small town all my life it seems to me that Atlanta is big enough!! I swear, if Atlanta keeps growing there'll be roads ON TOP OF roads! It's ran out of real estate. Isnt the water topics all about stopping the growth of Atlanta instead of shutting off the water supply to what is already there? Just curious.....

I am all for the growth to stop. it has gotten way to big, I used to like it here but that has changed. Al. and Fl not allowing Ga to keep 25% of the water from a lake that we paid for to build and manage is ridiculous. The corps is managing it but its our fee's that keep it going. ramp fee's and impact fee's for ever home built close to the lake. by FL. and AL thinking I cant put a glass of water in the back yard to catch the rain. if I do I have to give it to them

    Default % of water

I thought that all of this was setteled 5 months ago that ga,fl,al would share in the lanier watershed 33% or 1/3. I couldn't believe it when I heard it this morning. Not Atlanta but the state of ga, has no rights to the water. I'm with you crappieday, if sonny does nothing about this he will get my vote no longer which he has got in the past.

yep its a real shame. I say lift the water restrictions and drain it to the last drop then put another dam in above the lake with state funds and call the lake OUR WATER RESIVOIR .. If they want every drop that come into lanier whats the point of even having it. Oh but sonny did say we can hand water our lawns. while FL and AL can run there water 24-7. I for one am done with the water ban, they dont like it then they can come get some:D I would rather pay for a well then to just keep saving water so the other states can have more to waste

    Default green lawn agian

I'm tired of saving water so I think I will wash my car and boat this week. Remember that sonny said to"take pride in your dirty car and brown lawn lawn". Not any more. I will take pride in my clean cars and clean boat.
