Thread: Oconee & Sinclair This Weekend

We had such a good trip this past Friday night at Oconee that we are going to try it again this Friday. Anyone else been to Sinclair or Oconee this week or planning on going this weekend?

Headed up to Sinclair Friday night to meet some friends at our place. Hope to talk some of them into going out Sat nite to fish some dock lites probably in the Island Creek area.

Me and my son are making plans to go to Oconee Saturday afternoon/evening looking for a few catfish.

Gabowman....We caught plenty of cats last Friday night at Oconee anchored in 30 feet of water under the lights. The majority of them were small (probably less than a lb.), but there was plenty of them. Of course we were strictly using minnows. I'm one of those people who believes big bait = big fish, even though I don't feel you get as many bites on a bigger bait as you do with a smaller one. You are the catfish guy, I'll leave that up to you. We were fishing in site of the new boat storage stalls at what's left of the landing at Brantley's. I think it's called South Marina or something like that now. We are going again Friday night. Although it probably won't help you a whole lot, I'll try and post a report sometime Saturday. Ykk....We didn't catch all your crappie, but the hybrids were a lot slower than last week (not a bad thing in my book). Take a look at my new post Oconee 7/20 for a report.

Still sounds like a decent night chappy. I can deal with 45 though. I'm sure you left me alot out there. Maybe I can get up there next weekend and try to put a hurtin on em.
