    Default Adventures painting the boat

So I get home from school today and have a bit of time until I have to study. The sun is hot in the sky, humidity is typical for Georgia summers. Not a cloud in the blue sky above. OK, looks good, so I get out that $35.00 a quart Interlux Brightside paint and begin to paint the bottom of the boat.

So what happens? I'm about 2/3'rds of the way through, too close to stop and too far to be easy to do quickly and I hear thunder. I look up and there's this huge cloud coming right for me.

So I start hustling and finish the back of the boat just as the raindrops hit the front of the boat. No, the last side I did DOES NOT look as good as the first side and yes, I'm going to have to sand and touch it up.

The good news: I still have 1 1/3 quarts of paint, so touch up will not be a problem. Yes, I am very glad I Herculinered the middle third of the bottom of the boat and yes, I'm glad this is an oil based polyurethane that is hydrophobic (That's water-repellent for any of those SC sandlappers peeking in. grin).

Ok, I'm off to the shower. BTW, got a 78 on the first test in Medical Microbology this week. I feel okay about it, since I didn't get to study anything like as much as I'd like (One of those every durn thing, including the dryer broke weekend.), and can clearly see what I need to do to make an A in the class.

On a side note, the wife's daughter's husband is in the class. He flunked the same test. (grin) Ya gotta love it when the old man (48 years old) smokes the "son in law" (25 years old). Teacher said the average grade she gets on the first test in that class is in the low seventies.

Hope you folks day is going well.

    Regards,

    Dave

    Default Boat Painting

I have watched two shows now and i think i am ready to restore my old speed boat. It is a 1987 BAJA./ So when you are on SInclair and don't see me you know where i am. Stop by and come up the hill and help out. I leave in the white house with red roof on the left side of ROOTY Creek. THe night fishing is still going strong in deep water with structure for what it is worth. The other night i had a pontoon boat with a man and woman doing the bad deed float right up to my fishing hole. It was interesting when my night lights hit the back of his head and the front of her face. You talk about a bright light you should see two naked butts in florescent night lights

WTG on the test. I hope you can get the boat finished and on the water...keep at it.

Kin somebody git that carp out of my boat? Seems like every time I take it out, the thing jumps in my boat. Acts like it wants to come home with a real fisherman, even though it ain't fittin to eat.
