Default New Moon group NightStalk! Sat. 07/14/07

Guys and the few gals here are invited! B.Y.O.B. (bring your own boat) or arrange a seat with someone.
the most we ever had on a nightstalk was at the very first slabfest. We had 4 boats together and had a blast. That was before I found all these other places and learned more about nightstalking. I had always just tied to a bridge anywhere and chunked out the lights... I've found some great places to catch'em with plenty of room for a group. I could spread us out in maybe 6 places that I know have been on fire the last few weeks.
The new moon IMO is the best night of the month and it falls next Saturday. The weather will be mid 80s with a 40% rain chance
    We can meet at

    Idle hour park

    at 6pm Saturday.
Here is a map to blanton Creek park

Idle hour ramp($3fee) is just south of it and on the same road. Easy to find.
Here is a map of the lakeLAKE HARDING MAP

Shinerunner and I have done well both times we just drifted near each other in separate boats. I will be a great time on the lake. I'll keep yall in safe waters

So nobody except the two that were already coming to fish??? Just an offer to show the new guys and get us all on the same page as to our best methods for producing consistant catches.

I knew you guys from 200 miles away couldn't make it for just a fishin trip. I am going to be headed to russell once a week starting in late August. I'll get to fish with you guys(beagler, gabowman, minnowsoaker etc..) then. I was hoping some of these guys within 2 hour distance that were new to nightstalkin could make it. I'll fish with whoever shows up and have a great night catching crappie and having fun.
I wish all of you could be on the water somewhere Saturday night. Any lake, it is the new moon on a Saturday night.. yall go fishing it is a good night.

well you need time with family but you were one of the 3 people I knew wer coming...drats..heck bring the family that wants to fish..After riding from SFla they will want to ride another 1:45 and sit in a boat for 8 hours..lol
you come regular now anyway and we have taught each other some stuff. I hope to put as many of you as possible on some good fishing and maybe pass along some tricks that work for me. I'm not saying I know more than anyone believe me I am learning each trip. I hope to get some of these guys new to nightlife on the lake to come have some fun.

Default Full Moon, New Moon Question

    Smitty,
I've been fishing 3 day's before and 3 day's after the full moon for bedding bream for 30 years, am I wrong??" I realize the crappie aren't spawning now but had no idea that the new moon was a good fishing time. Have I been wrong all these years??

Yes, the new moon is also a great time to go hunting for crappie at night and it is also a great time to look for bream beds. And no you are not wrong fishing the way you do. I have always fished three days before and after while looking for those bream beds.
