Thread: Sling Shotting for Slabs

My wife and I are going to visit Papa Sage and his wife tommorow but I am thinking about getting up extra early and go to the Hwy 280 rail road trestle and sling shot for some of thosse slabs that are usually there. So far whenever I have gone there I have cought some good size slabs. I don't catch that many but what I catch are slabs. Maybe I can catch some monster slabs and brag to Papa Sage. Will let ya'll know how I do.

365 days a year you can catch crappie on that bridge.. Remember that 2 pounder I landed there the day before the last Slabfest...I do. You should do well. Patience and confidence are key. Those slow falling "Trusty Rusty Jigs" work great around there. Of course you know that If you use that name I need my residuals.

Just got back from sling shotting the tresstle and would you believe tyhat I didn't even have a hit. That frustrates the heck out of me. I didn't try the 280 bridge because I didn't have much time cause I am going to visit with Papa Sage.
