    Default Help Sinclair Night Fishing

My boy and his wife want to go night fishing for crappie. I need some advice on a few places to start near Little River or Bass Boat house.

    Thanks

Danbo......I haven't night fished in either of these places. We generally night fish near the middle of the lake from Nancy's Branch to Rooty Creek. We usually look for a major point in 30 plus feet of water and throw the anchors out. Then we put the lights over the side of the boat and be patient. Some nights the fish bite right away, but most nights it takes a couple of hours for the fishing to really pick up. Just find some decent depth water and let the lights do their thing. I've heard that they been catching them in the mouth of Rocky Creek and Airport Cove recently. Both of these spots are close to Bass Boat House. I'm sure someone on here can help you with one of these locations. If not, like I said earlier, the middle of the lake is usually pretty good for me. The darker the night the better, but the best time to go is whenever you can. Good luck and let us know how you do.

Both places are very good if you like to fish lighted docks. From little river you can go down towards Haslem's (turn right from Little River and go down the lake). The first cove on your left has many lights. The next cove on your left is my cove. You will see two 20ft. lights extending over the water. That is my house and it usually holds fish. You can catch fish all the way down to Twin Bridges. More lighted docks than you can fish in a week of nights. From Bass' go to your left and turn right up towards the Crooked Creek fish camp. Plenty of great lighted docks up that way also. I have caught fish on deep and shallow docks. Just look for the May flies and other bugs. Where you see ducks eating bugs you will have fish. It seems like the fishing gets much better from 12-3 AM. Less boats, more bugs = more fish. Good luck and let me know how you did.
