    Default Happy Independence Day Everyone

Good Morning and Happy Independence Day to All, Just woke up from my unusual sleeping period and thought I would drop a word or two to my fellow friends. Heard the sound of patrotrictism last night and it made my heart flutter (but in a good way). Recovery is going very slow as I was told it would. Doing exactly what the docotors told me to do and trying to be patrient with myself. Lordy I knew some changes were about to take place in my but didnt know this many would and so quickly. Its only been a week since the changes took place but man oh man are the walls getting old. This forum has been such a relief for me at times Im not sure what I would be doing without it.

Reading these messages five to six times a day/night, give me joy, happeness and laughner. Each one I read I put a face to it and can imagine the espressions on their faces as they write about their experiences here. I have been truely blessed to have people in their busy schedule to take time to wish me all the best. I cant wait to get back on the water with astro and show him the true art of getting hung up on the bottom structures, having back lash as I do or tieing the wrong knock and letting the big one get away.. , plus watching him lose one that would beat everyone lol.:D , Everyone take care and everyone will be in my prayers and throughts.

    God Bless Everyone,
    Polefisher (AKA Rick)

I feel for you brother. I can only imagine how boring and difficult the recovery process must be. There is nothing worse than wanting desperately to do something and your health holds you back. Just remember, this is but a temporary delay because you will soon be back to doing what you love and doing it better than ever. I always tell myself that things that are slow to come are a temporary delay, because the good LORD willing , I will always persevere. Good luck and I wish you the best.

Rick, you are what Crappie.com is all about. Brenda and I are glad to hear that you are improving. Hopefully you and astro will be able to fish the clash in October. As we celebrate our great nations independance we also should remember all of our soldiers that are protecting our freedom. GOD bless America.

I know some of what you are facing. Keep working at rehab. Sometimes it is work to do nothing. I spend plenty of time on here because my old life is over. Any life is good man just keep fighting. I know plenty of people that had quads and they can do ANYTHING again. Some can't do as much. I feel like crap 95% of the time but I can go fishing a few days a week. Well nights in this weather. The sun will zap me in 30 minutes! heat beats me down fast. If i'm careful and don't overdo things I can do just fine. The only positive of having this problem is I do get to fish. I just don't feel like going some days

Understands what you mean smitty...but Im not going to let it kick me down and keep me down if I can help it..With people like u, astro and everyone here I will make a come back, plus with the alighty up stairs puching me sometimes life isntalways as bad as we think it is..Plus I got two great grand kids Im looking forward to telling tales and fishing with also..My new bride too be helps me alot until she catches me doing something I shouldnt be doing..I just trying to be patient..Plus all the guys I work with are constantly calling or stoping by to check on me. When you have people like that concern about you ,,,you just cant throw the towel in and call it quit..So come on smitty lets beat these odds together...WHAT DO YOU SAY YOUNGER????????
