My sons and I are going to West Point this weekend. Hoping to catch the limit on Friday night and Saturday morning.
"that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us"
I'm curious too, hope to get in some fishing Saturday. I'm hoping that they are spawning just before the full moon.
They say the spawn is over at West Point. You can go to Ken Sturdivants website at www.havefunfishing.com
and go under fishing reports. They update this every Friday. It talks about all the main lakes in Georgia
The main part of the spawn is probably over but I caught fish last Sat. that had fresh roe in them so I hope that they will spawn this week.
With this crazy weather and the other reports off the Hooch you should still be able to catch them on the "spawn" pattern like the last several weeks. I caught them up shallow the other weekend even with the bitter cold and wind....go figure......I think if you fish a "flat" close to deep water you will still find some trying to spawn as well as some just up feeding after the spawn....yall let us know what you find...I still want to get one or two more WP trips in before it gets hot
Me and a buddy went last Saturday. I caught over 40 and he caught over 30. There are very close to the bank and we were fishing about 2-4 feet.
