What does you be after, Pete?? if you are after strips or hybrids, try at dawn and shortly before dusk, with plugs, spoons when they cxhase bait to the surface. If you are fishing during daylight try free lining some herring hooked through the nostrils along with some down near the bottom for Strips. Hybrids will hit cut herring on the bottom, plus you can pick them up trolling. Crappie, I think I would look at brush piles and off creek mouths and bends in the channels, using both minnows and or/ jigs. If you want some night stalking try about 25-30 feet around the channels/points. If you want to S. Rig for crappie I would try a bunch of depths from 6' to maybe 20' around the same mouths and channels, using black/chartrous combo. I would also trail some white jigs with/without minnows, whatever fires your rocket D.I. can probably give you better spots since I mostly S.R. creeks until May when I switch over to nitestalks. Hope this helps. Carl P.S. I really don't need to tell you this but Ugly Sticks are outlawed here at Clarks Hill
