Talking Thinkin' About Headin' To West Point Saturday

Haven't wet a line since last March and we are WAAAYY overdue for some quiet time on the water so I've marked Saturday as "gone fishin" day. Thought about heading to the back of Beech creek and see if we can drag any out. Anybody had any luck that way this week? This cold front may push them back some but it should be coming back by Saturday, I hope! I spent last weekend getting the boat ready for last Sunday and I had to go in to work so I'm goin' this weekend even if it hair lips the county! Tight Lines!

I went Tuesday morning. Caught a limit in 3 hours the big ones are on the bank! you can catch all the small ones you want long lining.

Little windy Saturday but with the temps rising and next week's full moon should be good! Fish seem to be smaller in Beech but if you are taking a kid it is usually non stop action!

sorry wicked I'm just now seeing your question. I caught mostly all big males pitching a 1/32 pink head blue black body char tail. You got to find a tree or rock on the bank, both is even better just fish it slow. The same head with a popcycle curly tail and .9 mph in the backs of the coves will get you bit all day long. I was fishing yellow jacket Tuesday but this will work anywhere on the lake, just find a tree laying in the water

I fished Tuesday as well with a limit. But took me about 5 hours. Like sore thumb said trees and rocks on the bank. I fished many colors 18"-24" under a float. I would cast to th bank and slowwww reeling it back. The smallest of mine was 9" I was in whitewater.
    Hope this help
