LAKE OCONEE FRIDAY 3/16/18 (VIDEO)

Jim and I fished Lake Oconee yesterday. We were accompanied by another friend named Stan. Stan is an avid fisherman and was a pleasure to have on board. We had not fished since 3/5 so we went to the spot we last fished hoping the fish were still in the area. They were. The water was 53-55 degrees which is about 8-10 degrees cooler than when we last fished. We found some fish deep in the channel and also some fish in 14-18 FOW. We caught the most fish on double 1/16's fished with dark colors. Jim was fishing a 1/16 jig about 20 inches below a 3/4 oz trolling sinker. The bite was steady all day and we finished the day with 31 crappie between 11-13.5 inches in length. It was a great day and I think Stan had a good time and he left with a fine mess of fish. It was good to see Countrytime on the water and he was having a great day also. Enjoy the video.

Jay good to see yall on the lake again also and glad to see your buddy take home some fish.
I'm glad you finally made the move to come down there where I was fishing,I had it all by myself,but next time don't bring that train of boats with you.

Yeah but they weren't there long. After the guide came through they all took off after him. It was funny. A couple of them got right in your hole. Like I've always said the easiest way to find fish is to find fishermen.

Y'all have them bent pole fisherman also? When they see a bent pole they come a running.
