I've been using it for years. Good stuff. No need to waste money on Norton or McAfee if you just need basic protection.
Good tip.
Hay guy’s, I know this is off topic but when I got back from slabfest I had a virus on my p.c. My software would not get rid of it. I worked one day on it with no luck. I stopped in and talked to a Tec I no and he told me about free software that would work. They do corporate and give it to the public. It worked great so I thought I’d let you know. It will also run with the software you already have. Just thought this might help someone.

I do this for a living and AVG is the best free stuff for home PC's. They also make a very good business version.
The updates are also free.

My techs switched from using AVG to Avast. It is suppost to work a little better. We'll see.
Thanks for the info guys, I had norton but it slowed down my computor so I dumped it and now use avg.
"AVG Anti-Virus Free is absolutely not for use with any type of OEM bundling with SW, HW component or any service."
I copyied this off their site.......What does this mean?

Something happened and now I know He touched me and made me whole!
It basically means a software or hardware supplier/dealer can't burn the free version of AVG and send it out with their other stuff.
It's meant to be downloaded by the end user, not distributed by retailers.
