    Default Crappie MAsters at Talquin

Anyone fishing it? I want be fishing the tourny, but I have a cabin at Rust's for Friday and Saturday nights that weekend so I will be around. Thinking bout bringing the grill up and cooking some deer meat and frying some fish if anyone is intrested(I hate cooking big for myself).

hahaha I wish I would have stayed last weekend. I usually make day trips, but about once a month I get a cabin there.

I understand that Talquin got 7 inches of rain total since last night. I hope you have your life jacket on.

WOW, well I guess I want be going there this weekend(ok maybe sunday). Here in LAke City I bet we got close to 3 this afternoon, at one point here the water was coming over my driveway, and the golf course still looks like one big lake. Im hoping to go to Lockloosa tomorrow depending on the weather.

Word to the wise......It rained at Talquin. Fished the main river Tuesday 2 weeks ago and found few fish. Went back Thursday and did reel good. Went back Monday (after Ga Slabmaster and Rain) and did pretty good. Went back Wednesday and the River was too full and fast but got lucky and found some goood fish at the Curtain. Went back Yesterday to the Curtain (prior to todays Tourney and caught 18 good fish). The wind was blowing and cool weather when I left this morning and some Muddy Water coming down the lake.........sure hope warmer temps will cure all.

Thanks for the report lightwire, it appears that we will have more rain on the way this week. I would really like to head up and fish on Saturday, but will just have to see what the rain does to the area this week. One thing I do know, is come hell or high water I will be on the lake at least 2 days next weekend.
