Thread: Blackshear Jan 19

Kids were out of school and itching to catch a few so we headed to Blackshear even though the flood gate was open. Muddy up river around Spring Creek. Several boats under 280 bridge and a couple around the RR. Went down to Cedar and 10 or so boats just North of Cedar. Went on just above Collins and fished most of the day. Good color and a little current. Beautiful day with a lite breeze.







Managed to find a few hungry ones and kept 13 and 2 bluegill. Nothing over 1lb 9oz caught 23 all together. Pushed minnows and jigs tipped with minnows. Best bites came from about 25 in 39 FOW. Water temp has jumped up to 49. Two more weeks of these kind of days and it should be on fire. Probably headed back this weekend. Thanks again Rusty for helping a brother out today. And also was nice to get to visit with our Pennsylvania friends. Hope ya'll have a safe trip home.

Congratulations!!Looks like the kids had a blast. Nothing like taking the kids fishing! My nine year old has been chomping at the bit to go.

Way to go Dan, nothing beats a day with the boys.
