Thread: Update on Water Conditions on Lake Blackshear 1-19-10

My dad and I had just left my house and stupid me decided to call the damn and see what they were doing with the water. The man at the damn told me that they had to open a gate all the way during the night last night. Now they have all 4 generators going wide open and also a gate wide open. Dad and I decided to turn around and come back home. The man at the damn also told me that they are expecting more rain Thursday.

Rusty- Did the guy at the plant say how much they were going to drop the lake, or are they just maintaining? We are planning on going tomorrow.

Hey justfish, was great to talk to you again. I think they are just maintaining. They had dropped it 6inches just before the rain Saturday and it was about 6inches higher than normal yesterday.

hey ragfly i went yesterday mourning and i got there at daylite it looked ok,but at 12;00 it had already turned muddy looking.i caught 6 fished and had to work to do that but had agood timeanyway.I AM SHURE READY FOR IT TO SIMMER DOWN FOR A WEEK OR TWO.
